The Ministry of Transport informs that Journal of Laws No. 100, 6 June 2007, item 674 contains the Polish version of the Protocole of 3 June 1999 that amended the Convention on the International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) of 9 May 1980 (so called Protocole 1999), and item 675 conists of the governemntal declaration on the legal force of the Protocole.
COTIF Convention specifies a single legal system of passenger carriage and goods, and rules for operation of railway cars and infrastructure in international rail communication. It also regulates the organisation of railway carriage of dangerous goods. It is an important document that regulates cooperation in the scope of international railway communication. In the present shape, the Convention is in force from 1 July 2006.
