Termination of Concession Contract with Gdańsk Transport Company JSC for Motorway A1: Gdańsk - Toruń

On 15 January 2007, Minister of Transport Jerzy Polaczek issued a decision terminating Minister of Transport and Maritime Economy Decision No TR-/e-025-70/97 of 25 August 1997 granted to Gdańsk Transport Company (GTC) JSC for construction and operation of Toll Motorway A1: Gdańsk (Pruszcz Gdański Junction, km 0+000) – Toruń (Czerniewice Junction, km 151+900) amended by Minister of Infrastructure Decision No SP-2x/025/134/04 of 20 August 2004.
Press Office of the Ministry of Transport informs that GTC, under the Concession Contract, manages construction works on Motorway A1: Gdańsk – Nowe Marzy section and General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways – Motroway A1: Nowe Marzy – Toruń section.
The Press Office also reminds that the Minister has changed the deadline of the investment by 3 years as compared with that what the previous government and GTC declared, and now Motorway A1 will be ready by 2010.
