Both sides found it necessary to establish working groups to prepare mutual projects connected with the EuroAsian rail cargo transit. It was settled to organise a meeting which would bring together the representatives of Polish and Russian road carriers and control authorities. During the talks, among the issues discussed were liberalisation of airway services market and potential amendment to the provisions of the agreement in this area.
The working groups will present their conclusions during the following meeting of the Polish – Russian Standing Committee for Transport, which – as earlier agreed – will take place in Poland, June 2007.
On 27 March 2007, the Secretary Bogusław Kowalski took part in the Inauguration of 12th International Conference “TransRussia-2007”, during which he delivered a speech on “What changed in transport after the accession of Poland to WTO.
