The European Commission's Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE) has published an English version of the Atlas of the European Seas and Oceans.
It has been developed to raise awareness of Europe’s oceans and seas, in the context of the EU’s integrated maritime policy launched in the Communication from the European Commission COM (2007) 575. The Atlas will also be used in the maritime policy of Poland.
It offers a remarkably diverse range of information about the EU’s integrated maritime policy and EU fisheries policy, including: sea depth and underwater features, tide amplitude and coastal erosion, mariitme policies and aquaculture.
