From 1 to 2 June 2010, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure Anna Wypych-Namiotko took part in 12th Baltic Development Forum (BDF) in Vilnius (Lithuania). This year, the aim of the summit was to focus on the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, its economic development, climate change, marine environment and water transport.
The conference, attended by government delegates, presidents, ministers, ambassadors, and President of the European Commission José Manuel Barosso, was opened by President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.
Viceminister A. Wypych-Namiotko took part in the plenary session „Creating European Leadership: Green Jobs and Innovative Growth”, which was organised to discuss green, economic and innovative investments and projects in the Baltic Sea Region. A. Wypych-Namiotko also took part in the working panel dedicated to innovation in water transport. Next summit will be held in the half of October 2011, Poland.
During her visit to Vilnius, Viceminister A. Wypych-Namiotko also met with government delegates from the Baltic Sea States and European Commission.
