On 31 March 2010, the Centre for EU Transport Projects (CEUTP) has launched a new call for proposals for the procedure of competitive grant awards for Measure 8.1. Road traffic safety under the Operational Programme "Infrastructure and Environment" Priority Axis VIII Transport Safety and National Transport Networks.
The priority axis shall support the following projects, especially those increasing the safety of road traffic:
1. improving the condition of national roads, e.g. new intersection geometry designs, roundabouts, left and right turn lanes, traffic islands and reserved areas, barriers, footbridges, pedestrian crossings and asylums, pedestrian and bicycle connections, traffic lights, drainage system, intersection lighting and marking;
2. improving the infrastructure of national roads, e.g. new footbridges.
Proposals may not concern multilevel intersections.
The maximum amount of PLN 120.34 mln may be granted to the competition projects from the European Regional Development Fund. District (“powiat”) towns and General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways may apply for the competitive grant awards.
Proposals may be submitted between 4 May 2010 and 5 July 2010 at the Centre for EU Transport Projects in Warsaw, Bonifraterska 17 Street. For more information, please see CEUPT website.
