Ministry of Infrastructure decided to order regulations in the field of construction. This means to take on evolutionary changes, and not revolutionary ones. Last week, the government adopted a draft amendment to the act on construction articles and technical approval. This week, Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers is going to work on a draft amendment to the act on spatial development - said Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure Olgierd Dziekoński during the opening ceremony of International Construction Fair BUDMA 2010 in Poznań, 19 January 2010. The event was also attended by Undersecretary of State Piotr Styczeń.
The fair is an opportunity for 1,300 exhibitors from 32 countries to show their newest offer. 19th edition of BUDMA is devoted to such issues as energetic efficiency and ecology in construction.
Undersecretaries of State O. Dziekoński and P. Styczeń, together with President of International Construction Fair in Poznań Andrzej Byrt, took part in the press conference. Last year, we tried to integrate some of the construction programmes. We wish we could have such an integration so that it could cast a new light on housebuilding industry - said Undersecretary of State P. Styczeń.
The undersecretaries visited the stand of the Ministry of Infrastructure, where they answered the questions put by the visitors. The questions were mainly concerned with balanced building and latest legislative steps undertaken by the Ministry. Undersecretary of State O. Dziekoński took part in the conference panel “Sustainable Development in Construction”, organised by Building Research Institute. The meeting was aimed at discussing the initiatives taken in Europe to settle new requirements of buildings and construction articles, and strategy for implementation of sustainable development principles in construction. Traditionally, the deputy ministers met with Wielkopolska Chamber of Construction.
This year, the teitmotif of BUDMA is “Sustainable Construction - Economy, Ecology, Human”. The exposition is focused on housebuilding industry, social infrastructure and public building, and also industrial building and road construction. The scope of exposition and fair events cover safe building materials, high energetic efficiency technologies, comfort and functionality of buildings in harmony with culture and landscape.
