On 9 February 2010, it is for the 6th time that Safer Internet Day will be celebrated. SID aims at initiating and promoting efforts intended to enhance the safety of children and youths dealing with Internet content.
In Poland SID is organized by Polish Safer Internet Centre since 2005. The Centre is run by the Nobody’s Children Foundation (Fundacja Dzieci Niczyje – FDN) and Research and Academic Computer Network (Naukowa i Akademicka Sieæ Komputerowa – NASK) – Coordinator of the Centre.
We invite schools, cyber cafés, culture centres, NGOs, companies, media and other organisations to join the Safer Internet Day celebrations.
Polish SID organisers encourage schools, other institutions and organisations to undertake, during the month of February, educational efforts related to Web safety (conferences, discussion panels, performances, exhibitions, contests, trainings, picnics etc.). To inspire you - an educational offering is made available to all local SID organisers at www.dbi.pl. You will find there multimedia and educational scenarios.
Numerous prizes will be drawn among their organisers. We hope that SID will be successful.
More details about the SID 2010 are available at www.dbi.pl.
