Deputy Minister J. Engelhardt visits Rail 2009 in Dortmund

Dortmund, 9-10 November 2009, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure Juliusz Engelhardt visited Rail 2009. During the trade fair, Deputy Minister J. Engelhardt took part in an informal meeting of transport ministers and presidents of railway companies from European countries to discuss the problem of financing railway infrastructure in a moment of economic downfall.
J. Engelhardt also talked to a newly-appointed Secretary of State at the Federal Ministry of Transport K. D. Scheurle (Germany), and made it necessary to speed up modernisation of the railway line: Berlin - Szczecin, and include electrification of E-30 Zgorzelec - Dresden in the federal investment plans.
Deputy Minister J. Engelhardt visited the Siemens Trial Plant in Wegberg-Wildenrath, where engines and trains are tested.
