Sopot (Poland), 9 October 2009 - the meeting of infrastructure ministry delegations took place within the framework of 6th Polish-Spanish Intergovernmental Consultations.
The Polish delegation, led by Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure Radosław Stępień, was comprised of Deputy Director General for National Roads and Motorways Magdalena Jaworska, and President of Executive Board of Polish Railway Lines (PKP PLK) Zbigniew Szafrański.
Secretary of State for Railway Infrastructure Victor Morlan Garcia (Spain) was accompanied by Advisor to the Secretary of State Ricard Anguera Camos, President of Administrator de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (ADIF) Gonzales Marin, and Head of International Cooperation Office (ADIF) Joaquin Jimenez Otero.
The meeting was organized to discuss the issues related to the investments carried out in infrastructure, e.g. A1 motorway construction, cooperation in high speed railways in Poland, and development of sea motorways.
During the consultations, ADIF and PKP PLK concluded the appendix to “Framework agreement on cooperation between PKP PLK and ADIF”. The cooperation was considered to consist of high speed railways, development and implementation of advanced traffic management systems, especially ERTMS (European Railway Traffic Management System), environment protection, and others.
The agreement was signed by President of Executive Board of PKP PLK Zbigniew Szafrański and President of ADIF Antonio Gonzales Marin.
