European Commission enhances integrated maritime policy

In October 2009, the European Commission published another documents concerning the integrated maritime policy to be consulted by the Government of Poland:
1. “Progress report on the EU’s Integrated Maritime Policy” - COM (2009) 540.
2. “Developing the international dimension of the Integrated Maritime Policy of the European Union” - COM (2009) 536.
3. “Towards the integration of maritime surveillance: A common information sharing environment for the EU maritime domain” - COM (2009) 538.
The papers have recapitulated the actions taken under the integrated maritime policy for the last two years, and also show the prospects for the future. The Commission also presented the conclusions for maritime surveillance in various sectors and countries, and challenges related to the international dimension of the integrated maritime policy.
