Brussels, 25 June 2009, the European Commission closed three infringement proceedings against Poland.

The cases concerned:

·         the independence of the Polish regulator (case C-309/08),

·         consumer contracts (infringement 2007/2430),

·         the obligation for operators to negotiate interconnection (case 227/07).

The cases were closed down since the latest amendment of 24 April 2009 to the Telecommunications Law and other acts came into force. This allows to bring the Polish law into line with the EU requirements.
