Minister of Infrastructure Cezary Grabarczyk met with Minister of Public Works in Spain Magdalena Alvarez Arza

On 8 October 2008 Minister of Infrastructure Cezary Grabarczyk went to Cordoba, Spain, to take part in intergovernmental consultations on Spanish companies involvement in implementation of Polish transport infrastructure projects. The Polish delegation was headed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.During the consultations, beside the plenary session, there were branch bilateral meetings, including that one of Minister Cezary Grabarczyk with Minister Magdalena Alvarez Arza.
The ministers signed the declaration on cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of railway transport, especially – planning and construction of high-speed railway lines as well as renovation and modernisation of the existent railway network, and management of railway services.
In the presence of the ministers, representatives of PKP PLK SA and Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (ADIF) signed the Agreement on cooperation in railway transport.
The ministers were also glad about the cooperation in the absorption of European Funds, and they fund it necessary to further develop it. It was agreed to cooperate in the following years and decided that the Polish-Spanish Top-Level Committee, esstablished under the agreement of 2007, will be held in Warsaw in the closest possibile time so as to settle the best form of mutual business implementation.
