On 11 September 2008, the session of the Polish-Lithuanian Commission for Maritime Transport took place in Vilnius. It was held under the Agreement on cooperation in the field of trade maritime navigation concluded between Poland and Lithuania on 1 September 1995. The meeting was chaired by Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure Anna Wypych-Namiotko, Poland, and Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communication Arvydas Vaitkus, Lithuania.

On 3 September 2008 Minister of Infrastructure Cezary Grabarczyk met with French Transport State Secretary in the Ministry of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and Territorial Development Dominique Busserau. The meeting started the standing transport group under the Polish-French strategic partnership, initiated when President of France Nicolas Sarkozy visited Poland in May 2008.

On 19 August 2008 Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure Anna Wypych-Namiotko met with the representatives of Maritime Administration of Vietnam Socialist Republic. The Vietnamese were headed by Director General of Maritime Administration in the Ministry of Transport Vouong Dinh Lam.

On 13 August 2008, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure Zbigniew Rapciak took part in a working meeting concerning the construction of a permanent connection between Wolin and Uznam Islands in Świnoujście Town. The connection is a priority objective within the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013.
