During the session, the parlamentarians listened to the representantives of the Polish government, who talked about the „Report on information mission in Poland. Via Baltica: Warsaw – Białystok – Augustów” drafted by the Europarlamentarians in June 2007.

12:36On 7 September 2007, the Sejm passed an act amending the road transport act and other relevant acts. The provisions and mechanisms adopted in the act will improve safety on roads and help to harmonise working conditions of drivers and balance the competition on the market within the Community.
Sejm passed Railway Transport Act

09:46On 7 September 2007, the Sejm passed an act amending the railway transport act and other acts such as Environmental Protection Act drafted in the Ministry of Transport. The amendment will mainly allow for quicker construction and modernisation of state priority railway lines by way of eliminating legal barriers. This will lead to better EU funding absorption. And this is also of key importance for railway infrastructure projects within EURO 2012.
