Record-breaking payments in SOPT - 2 bln PLN for transport

14:56The Ministry of Transport informs that under the Sectoral Operational Programme Transport (SOPT) total expenditure, together with those qualified payments, from the very beginning, is 2 bln 57.4 mln PLN, i.e. 538.8 mln EUR, and only in 2007 all the reimbursement has come to 1,355.6 mln PLN, i.e. 357 mln EUR.

11:29The Ministry of Transport informs that on 27 September 2007, a price for Motorway A2: Nowy Tomyśl – Świecko (104.5 km) was settled with the concessionary Autostrada Wielkopolska JSC (AWSA) at 9.656 mln EUR per 1 km.
Construction Programme for National Roads in 2008 - 2012

12:38„Yesterday, the Council of Ministers adopted Construction Programme for National Roads in 2008 – 2012. This programme is similar to those achievements of the days before II World War, i.e. Gdynia Town and its port, and Central Industry Area”, said Minister of Transport Jerzy Polaczek on 26 September 2007 during his press conference in Garwolin Town. „The Government is going to spend 121 bln PLN for construction of roads and motorways in 2008 – 2-12. On average, it is more than 24 bln PLN a year. As compared with this very successful year, we will spend some 9 bln PLN. We are facing a real investment boom!”, he added.
Garwolin Town Bypass Inaugurated

I can also tell you that yesterday, the Council of Ministers adopted the Construction Programme for National Roads in 2008-2012”, pronounced Minister of Transport Jerzy Polaczek on 26 September 2007 during the inauguration of Garwolin Town Bypass. „By this Programme, it is planned to build 58 road bypasses round towns as Garwolin – oppressed by transit traffic”, he added.
New section of Motorway A6 opened

10:02As General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways reported on 26 September 2007, a 8 km long Motorway A6 section: „Klucz” Junction – „Kijewo” Junction was opened. The section cost 129 mln PLN, including EU support, i.e. SOPT – 87.9 mln PLN. It was Budimex – Dromex JSC which contracted the project.
