In 2007, Poland received 9.02 mln EUR to implement 3 projects of road and air transport, selected in a yearly competition. It was the European Commission which held the competition. The competition was supported from EU funds, i.e. 112.607 mln EUR, dedicated to TEN-T development in 2007. Poland received 30% of all the funds for roads and 10% - air transport.

On 11 January 2008, Minister of Infrastructure Cezary Grabarczyk informed the Minister of Regional Development about the transport projects of Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment in 2007-2013.
„It has been 50 days since we started. Now, we can say what is what in the Ministry. I presented my opinion on the situation to the Commission of Infrastructure”, said Minister Cezary Grabarczyk on 9 January 2008 during his briefing in the Ministry.
On 3 January 2008, Council of Ministers took a resolution to adopt Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment (OPI&E) 2007-2013. OPI&E is the biggest operational programme in the European Union. Total amount of funding involved in its implementation is 28 bln EUR (Cohesion Fund, European Regional Development Fund). OPI&E budget, together with national contribution, is 37.6 bln EUR. A transport sector will receive 19.4 bln EUR (EU), and 28 bln EUR (POL).
The Ministry of Infrastructure, as an intermediary in SOPT operations, informs that total expenditure under SOPT in December 2007 came up to some 306.7mln PLN, i.e. some 85.2mln EUR. Within this sum, the beneficiaries were paid 145.3mln PLN, and certified 161.4mln PLN. This is another record-breaking month after that of November 2007.

On 1 January 2008, the amendment to the real estate administration act of 21 August 1997 that is partly considered with the professions of real estate agents and administrators. The amendment introduces new requirements for people who have to meet if they want to apply for a licence of real estate agents and administrators.
Juliusz Engelhardt as Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure

Prime Minister Donald Tusk appointed Juliusz Engelhardt Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure on 2 January 2008. Prime Minister also dismissed Mirosław Chaberek as Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, expressing thanks for his work.
Minister Cezary Grabarczyk expressed his thanks to Mirosław Chaberek for drafting the strategy for railway transport in Poland.
System of registration for imported vehicles changed after 25 December 2007

By the amendment of the Road Traffic Law that came into force on 25 December 2007, it is necessary to produce a registration certificate if an imported vehicle (from EU Member Country, Switzerland, EFTA Member Countries) is to be registered. This regulation adjusts the Polish law to Artilce 5 of Directive 1999/37/EC of 29 April 1999 on the registration documents for vehicles.

On 22 December 2007, Minister of Infrastructure Cezary Grabarczyk signed the Agreement of Commercial Conditions for construction of the last section of Motorway A2 with Autostrada Wielkopolska JSC, in the presence of General Director for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) Zbigniew Kotlarek. As a result, it is possible to connect Motorway A2 with the European communication system before EURO 2012.
