Brussels, 24 November 2011, the Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council adopted in the first reading a regulation establishing an EU programme to further promote the development and the implementation of the EU's integrated maritime policy. The budget for the implementation of the programme in accordance with the relevant European objectives is EUR 40 million for the period 2011 to 2013.

23-24 November 2011, a Polish-Russian Joint Committee for International Road Haulage held its session in Moscow. The aim of the meeting was to agree on the final quotas of international road haulage permits per 2011 and preliminary quotas per 2012.

The 27th Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is taking place in London at IMO Headquarters from 21 to 30 November 2011.

On 17 November 2011, during its Strasbourg plenary sitting of 14-17 November 2011, the European Parliament held a debate on whether to further develop an Integrated Maritime Policy. MEPs adopted a draft legislative resolution on the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a Programme to support the further development of an Integrated Maritime Policy.

Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure Maciej Jankowski took part in VIII International Conference „TRANSEURASIA 2011: Transit. Business. Integration” on 10 November 2011, Astana (Kazakhstan). The aim of the conference was to discuss the issues related to transport and transit cooperation in the field of freight rail transport from Asia to Western Europe and vice versa, and Eurasian transport projects.

During its meeting of 10 November 2011, the Commitee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) endorsed unanimously the draft decision on the Radio Spectrum Policy Programme (RSPP). The informal compromise text was agreed as a result of the five trilogues between the European Parliament and the Council with active participation of the Commission.

Concluded contracts
From 16 November 2007 to the end of September 2011, the contracts for modernisation of railway lines of more than 3,000 km were concluded.

Currently, railway lines of total length of more than 2,182 km are being modernised.

Investments on railway lines completed
From 16 November 2007 to the end of September 2011, the investments on railway lines totalling 1,502 km were completed.

Eight airports located in the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) implement projects involving the expansion of airport infrastructure, funded under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment (OPIE).
