Strengthening Inland Waterway Transport

Between 2 and 3 November 2010 Polish-Czech consultations on inland waterway transport were held in Wrocław. The Polish delegation was led by Undersecretary of State Anna Wypych-Namiotko. Viceminister A. Wypych-Namiotko was accompanied by President of National Water Management Authority (KZGW) Leszek Karwowski and Government Plenipotentiary for Programme Oder 2006 Lower Silesian Governor Rafał Jurkowlaniec. The meeting was co-chaired by Viceminister for Transport Ivo Toman (Czech Republic).
European Aviation Summit

Between 26 and 27 October 2010 the European Aviation Summit was held in Bruges as part of the Belgian EU presidency in 2010. The summit aimed to deal with air traffic, air traffic management and the environment. It also focused attention on international cooperation, Single European Sky II and research related to air safety and security.

The Ministry of Infrastructure kindly invites to take part in a comptetition for the European Award for Best Children's Online Content. The competition is organised jointly by the Safer Internet Centres in 14 Member States, including Poland, and the European Commission's Safer Internet Programme for the first time in 2010-2011 as a pilot.
Joint declaration for ‘Via Carpatia’ signed

A joint declaration for the construction of the ‘Via Carpatia’ international motorway was signed by Bulgaria, Greece and Romania on 22 October 2010 in Łańcut (Poland). These are the following countries which, apart from Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and Lithuania, joined the project.

Via Carpatia Conference in Łańcut

An International conference “Via Carpatia” will take place on 22 October 2010 in Łańcut Castle (Poland). Durin the meeting, Bulgaria, Greece and Romania will become members of the project. Among the countries, which already joined the initiative, are Hungary, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia.
