Masovian Housing Cooperative was established 30 years ago as a result of its separation from Płock Housing Cooperative. Ministry of Infrastructure decided to order regulations in the field of construction. This means to take on evolutionary changes, and not revolutionary ones. Last week, the government adopted a draft amendment to the act on construction articles and technical approval. This week, Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers is going to work on a draft amendment to the act on spatial development - said Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure Olgierd Dziekoński during the opening ceremony of International Construction Fair BUDMA 2010 in Poznań, 19 January 2010. The event was also attended by Undersecretary of State Piotr Styczeń.

Contracts concluded
Among the concluded contracts for construction of expressways are, e.g. S8 Konotopa junction – Prymas Tysiąclecia Avenue junction in Warsaw, S3 bypass of Mięków, S3 bypasses of Troszyn, Parłówek and Ostrowice, S8 Wrocław – Oleśnica, S8 Oleśnica - Syców, S5 Gniezno – Czachurki, S7 Southern Bypass of Gdańsk, S7 Skarżysko-Kamienna – Występa, S74 Kielce – Cedzyna, and S7 Olsztynek – Nidzica, S8 conversion DK72 Piotrków Trybunalski - Rawa Mazowiecka, S8 bypass of Zambrów and Wiśniewo. The contracts were also signed for construction of bypasses of e.g. Słupsk, Kędzierzyn–Koźle, Łęknica, Stargard Szczeciński, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Kraśnik, Mszczonów and Serock.
This year, one new road contract was signed. The contract recommendation was awarded for construction of motorway sections, e.g. A4 Wierzchosławice – Krzyż. Total investment worth is PLN 543 mln.
European Commission authorises Polish tonnage tax scheme

18 December 2009, the European Commission decided to authorise the introduction in Poland of a flat-rate tax regime based on fleet tonnage. This so-called tonnage tax regime enables shipping operators not to pay corporation or personal tax but only a flat-rate tax, based on the tonnage of their fleet.
